Police in Russia are investigating the killing of eight people in what reports say could be a massacre linked to a dispute between criminal gangs.
Officials said on January 21 that the bodies of five men and three women were found with gunshot wounds in the city of Stavropol, in the North Caucasus region of southern Russia.
Reports say the dead included a reputed criminal gang boss, known as "Khan," and some of his family members.
Reports also said two children -- described as an infant and an 8-year-old -- were found alive at the house.
